Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory impacts using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for cabinet-level decision-makers
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives on healthcare, education, and economic development
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder forums
- Manage grant-funded research projects with $1M+ budgets
- Mentor junior analysts on policy analysis best practices
- Monitor national policy trends and adapt strategies for Tennessee context
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated experience with legislative research and stakeholder engagement
- Strong writing skills with published policy reports
- Knowledge of Tennessee state government structure and processes
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
