Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate complex policy issues affecting Washington's economic landscape
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for state leadership
- Coordinate interagency task forces to implement statewide strategic initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees, community boards, and executive leadership
- Monitor federal and state regulatory changes affecting Washington's economic priorities
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes with private sector and nonprofit partners
- Oversee policy implementation metrics and impact assessment frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Expert knowledge of Washington state legislative processes and regulations
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance eligibility
