Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy analysis and research on emerging public health issues
- Develop and evaluate policy proposals aligned with state and federal regulations
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Coordinate with agency leadership on strategic policy implementation
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts on public health programs
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing public health emergencies
- Represent the agency in intergovernmental policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public administration
- Advanced knowledge of Texas state government operations and procedures
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with policy development lifecycle and stakeholder engagement
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license required
