Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state policies using quantitative/qualitative analysis
- Collaborate with legislators and agency heads on legislative proposals
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for budgetary recommendations
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholders
- Monitor federal regulations for state compliance implications
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on emerging policy issues
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation or regulations
- Deep understanding of Illinois state government operations
- Superior written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Illinois driver's license
