Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate citywide economic policies using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on income mobility and affordable housing initiatives
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare executive briefings for senior officials
- Manage $50M+ grant programs for workforce development projects
- Present policy recommendations to City Council and community stakeholders
- Oversee data collection and performance metrics for public programs
- Collaborate with federal agencies on pandemic recovery funding strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in statistical software (R, Python, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants
- Knowledge of NYC's administrative structure and budget processes
- Experience managing complex stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Valid NYS driver's license required
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency mandatory
