The Baltimore City Health Department seeks a dynamic Senior Public Health Administrator to lead strategic programs addressing health equity, infectious disease control, and chronic disease prevention. You'll drive evidence-based policy development while collaborating with cross-sector partners to improve health outcomes across Baltimore's diverse neighborhoods.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health strategies aligned with CDC guidelines
- Oversee departmental budgets exceeding $5M with rigorous fiscal oversight
- Lead crisis response operations for public health emergencies
- Manage interdisciplinary teams of epidemiologists, health educators, and outreach specialists
- Analyze health disparities data to inform targeted intervention programs
- Represent the department in intergovernmental coalitions and community forums
- Ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in public health leadership
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal program management
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with SPSS/R proficiency
- Valid Maryland driver's license and ability to travel citywide
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Experience managing FQHC or similar healthcare settings
