Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of county-wide public health emergency response protocols
- Oversee epidemiological surveillance systems and disease outbreak investigations
- Coordinate interagency partnerships with federal/state health authorities and community stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Supervise public health staff and mentor emerging professionals in the field
- Analyze health data trends to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Represent Dallas County at public health forums and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health administration experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for immediate certification
- Proven expertise in crisis management and emergency response coordination
- Advanced proficiency in health data analytics and reporting tools
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing public health grants
- Strong knowledge of CDC/WHO guidelines and local health regulations
