Responsibilities
- Oversee development and execution of county-wide public health initiatives including vaccination programs and health education campaigns
- Manage emergency preparedness responses and coordinate with state/federal health agencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and recommend intervention strategies
- Lead cross-departmental teams to implement health equity initiatives across underserved communities
- Develop grant proposals and secure federal/state funding for public health programs
- Ensure compliance with CDC, HIPAA, and Nevada State Health Department regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health administration experience
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal funding acquisition
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced knowledge of health equity frameworks and culturally competent program design
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $1M with financial reporting capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in health data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
