Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable communities
- Oversee $15M+ budgets and manage cross-functional teams of epidemiologists and health educators
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze population health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Forge partnerships with federal agencies (CDC, FEMA) and non-profit organizations
- Lead health equity initiatives addressing social determinants of health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in government/public health leadership
- PHR/SPHR certification or equivalent public health credentials
- Proven track record in grant writing and federal compliance (e.g., HHS, CDC)
- Advanced proficiency in health informatics systems (e.g., EHR, GIS mapping)
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $1M
- Texas driver's license and ability to work extended hours during emergencies
