Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data using statistical software to identify trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop and implement community health improvement plans aligned with state and federal guidelines
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health agencies
- Manage grant-funded programs ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Train public health staff on data analysis methodologies
- Leverage GIS mapping tools to visualize health disparities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health data analysis experience
- Proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS for statistical modeling
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with CDC surveillance systems and HRSA reporting
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health confidentiality laws
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Preferred: Certification in Public Health (CPH)
