Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend actionable interventions
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate health services
- Develop grant proposals and manage budgets for public health initiatives securing federal/state funding
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council, state health department, and CDC compliance requirements
- Lead crisis response coordination during public health emergencies and disease outbreaks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience with government or non-profit organizations
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state health grants ($500K+ preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, and local health regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse stakeholders
