Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets to identify emerging health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to improve healthcare access for underserved populations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders and agency leadership
- Manage federal grant applications and ensure compliance with CDC and CMS regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and lead community outreach events across North Carolina's 100 counties
- Stay current with evolving public health policies and technological advancements in data analytics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health policy analysis or healthcare program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant writing and compliance management
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina's healthcare system and public health infrastructure
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
- Valid North Carolina driver's license for statewide travel requirements
