Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Develop evidence-based health intervention strategies for vulnerable populations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement statewide health programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Oversee grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with state regulations
- Mentor junior staff on public health research methodologies
- Represent the department in interagency health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Proven experience developing evidence-based health policies
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health systems and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
- PH certification or equivalent preferred
