As a key member of our epidemiology team, you'll analyze complex health data, develop evidence-based policies, and collaborate with state/local partners to address emerging public health threats. Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological surveillance systems to track disease trends
- Analyze population health data using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R)
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for state health programs
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Lead cross-agency initiatives to address health disparities
- Present findings to legislative bodies and community stakeholders
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise research projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of public health analysis experience in government setting
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Experience with California Health and Safety Code compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-agency projects
- Valid California driver's license
- Clearance for sensitive information access
