Responsibilities
- Design and execute epidemiological studies to monitor disease trends and inform public health interventions
- Analyze complex health data using statistical software (R, SAS, Python) to identify emerging health threats
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for local health initiatives and grant applications
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Lead community outreach programs to address health disparities among vulnerable populations
- Mentor junior staff and present findings to government officials and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent preferred
- Proven track record of developing health equity frameworks
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance reporting
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
