Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health research studies using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Analyze complex health data to identify trends, disparities, and program effectiveness
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for policy development and resource allocation
- Lead cross-functional teams on health equity initiatives and emergency response planning
- Present findings to senior leadership, community stakeholders, and governing bodies
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with funding requirements
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to departmental process improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiological research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with community health assessment and program evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex data for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of King County's public health priorities and social determinants of health
- Experience with public health emergency response frameworks (e.g., NIMS, ICS)
