Responsibilities
- Design and implement disease surveillance systems for emerging health threats
- Analyze epidemiological data using statistical software (SAS, R, or Python)
- Develop community health improvement plans with stakeholder engagement
- Lead interagency coalitions addressing social determinants of health
- Prepare grant proposals securing federal/state funding sources
- Present findings to public officials and community partners
- Mentor junior analysts and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software
- Experience with health equity frameworks and community engagement
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive data access
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
