Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive epidemiological studies to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Analyze population health data using SAS, R, and SPSS to develop evidence-based intervention strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement county-wide health education campaigns
- Prepare detailed reports and policy recommendations for county commissioners and public health stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $1M+ in annual public health initiatives
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining rigorous quality assurance protocols
- Represent the department at state-level public health policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public health analytics or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS/R/SPSS) with portfolio of published analyses
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proven experience managing federal/state public health grants
- Demonstrated expertise in health equity research and community engagement
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
