Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health emergency response protocols for natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for grant-funded health initiatives
- Lead community health education campaigns on disease prevention and wellness
- Manage public health surveillance systems and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
- Supervise field investigations during public health emergencies
- Oversee compliance with federal health regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health administration or analysis
- Valid Nevada Public Health Certification (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience with emergency preparedness planning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for policy development
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for sensitive health data
- Experience managing federal grant-funded programs
