Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and public health threats
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention strategies
- Lead emergency response coordination for public health crises
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote health equity initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for leadership
- Maintain compliance with CDC and state public health regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and support cross-departmental health projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Valid Texas Department of State Health Services certification preferred
- Experience with emergency preparedness and response protocols
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Knowledge of local and state public health regulations
