Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive public health assessment strategies using epidemiological data
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop targeted interventions for health equity initiatives
- Analyze complex health datasets to identify trends and recommend policy improvements
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to design accessible health education programs
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for county leadership and funding agencies
- Oversee compliance with federal health regulations and grant requirements
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental innovation projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Proven track record of developing evidence-based health policy recommendations
- Experience managing public health grants and budgets exceeding $500,000
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
- Knowledge of Nebraska public health regulations and community resources
