Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data sets to identify emerging public health trends and vulnerabilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for state health initiatives
- Coordinate with local health departments and community stakeholders on program implementation
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative and executive leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $1M
- Lead cross-functional teams during public health emergencies
- Conduct community needs assessments and program evaluations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Proven experience with grant management and budget oversight
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health systems and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during public health crises
