Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and inform public health interventions
- Develop and implement health equity strategies for underserved communities
- Lead inter-agency task forces on pandemic preparedness and response
- Manage $2M+ grant programs for community health initiatives
- Present findings to legislative bodies and senior leadership
- Oversee compliance with state and federal health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in state/local government health roles
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for statistical analysis
- Experience with health equity frameworks and community engagement
- Valid California Public Health Analyst certification
- Proven track record of managing public health grants
