Responsibilities
- Design and conduct epidemiological studies to identify disease trends and public health priorities
- Analyze complex health datasets using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS) to inform policy decisions
- Develop grant proposals and manage federal/state funding initiatives for health programs
- Coordinate outbreak investigations and emergency preparedness response protocols
- Create public health reports and presentations for county commissioners and community stakeholders
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-departmental health improvement projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience in government/nonprofit settings
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated success securing public health grants ($500K+)
- Experience with Nevada public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Exceptional written communication skills for technical and policy audiences
