Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Develop and implement community health improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with cross-departmental teams on emergency preparedness planning
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Present findings to city officials and community stakeholders
- Lead health equity assessments across diverse Austin neighborhoods
- Collaborate with state and county health agencies on regional initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of public health analysis experience in government or non-profit settings
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization
- Experience with grant management and federal reporting requirements
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and public health frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
