Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological studies to track disease trends and health outcomes
- Analyze complex health data using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R) to identify public health priorities
- Develop evidence-based reports and presentations for policymakers and community stakeholders
- Coordinate emergency response planning for public health crises
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise research projects
- Collaborate with community organizations to design outreach programs
- Ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations and reporting standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualization platforms
- Experience with public health surveillance systems (e.g., Epi-X, NEDSS)
- Demonstrated success in translating data into actionable policy recommendations
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Valid California driver's license
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
