Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological surveillance systems for disease prevention
- Analyze public health data using statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council
- Coordinate inter-agency health initiatives with state/federal partners
- Manage grant-funded public health programs ($2M+ portfolio)
- Train department staff on new health protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of government/public health experience
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau)
- Experience with emergency response protocols
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health regulations
