Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local government agencies to coordinate health services
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic planning
- Secure and manage grant funding for public health initiatives
- Lead community outreach and education campaigns on preventive health measures
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
- Mentor junior public health staff and coordinate volunteer programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience with community-based programs
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal/state funding acquisition
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS, SAS, or R
- Valid Oregon Public Health Nurse certification or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated success in developing cross-sector partnerships
- Experience addressing health disparities in urban multicultural environments
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
