Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health threats
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster preparedness exercises and real-time incident responses
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health interventions
- Lead community vaccination campaigns and health education outreach
- Manage grant-funded emergency preparedness programs
- Train public health staff and community partners in emergency procedures
- Prepare federal compliance reports for emergency management initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 5+ years experience in public emergency response coordination
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Strong data analysis skills with Epi-Info or similar tools
- Experience with CDC/HRSA grant administration
- Texas Public Health certification or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and GIS mapping software
