Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations across 93 Nebraska counties
- Develop and implement pandemic preparedness protocols for vulnerable populations
- Lead crisis communication strategies during public health emergencies
- Manage federal/state grant funding for emergency response infrastructure
- Train 500+ public health professionals on emergency response procedures
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform resource allocation decisions
- Liaise with FEMA and CDC during disaster declarations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 5+ years crisis management experience in government or healthcare
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation required
- Advanced knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Expertise in public health emergency communications
- Proven grant management experience with federal agencies
- Strong data analysis skills with epidemiological software
- Ability to deploy within 24 hours during emergencies
