Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify priority health inequities and inform policy recommendations
- Lead inter-agency task forces on emergency response protocols and public health crises
- Develop grant proposals securing $1M+ in federal/state funding for health initiatives
- Coordinate with community stakeholders to implement culturally responsive health programs
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and ensure compliance with public health standards
- Present findings to City Council committees and senior leadership
- Mentor junior analysts on policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated success securing federal/state grants
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and social determinants of health
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
