Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Lead epidemiological investigations and data-driven health intervention strategies
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to address social determinants of health
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Train and supervise junior health specialists and program coordinators
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience with local government
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Expertise in epidemiological methods and statistical analysis
- Experience managing public health emergency responses
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Valid California driver's license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
