Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies for city departments

- Coordinate with elected officials and agency leadership on messaging alignment
- Analyze public sentiment and adjust communication approaches accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of government or public sector communications experience
- Proven crisis management and media relations expertise
- Proficiency with digital analytics tools and CMS platforms
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Clearances: FBI background check and security clearance
