Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and recommend data-driven solutions to city council
- Conduct research on urban governance best practices and emerging policy trends
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation strategies
- Coordinate with multiple city departments and community stakeholders
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Present findings to elected officials and public forums
- Monitor legislative changes at state/federal level affecting local governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Policy Analysis, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy or public sector consulting
- Expertise in quantitative research methods and statistical analysis
- Proficiency with policy simulation software (e.g., Stata, R)
- Deep understanding of Tennessee municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
