Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of data analytics frameworks for public safety initiatives
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency management teams
- Generate actionable reports on crime trends and emergency response efficiency
- Design and maintain real-time monitoring dashboards for public safety operations
- Develop predictive models to identify high-risk areas and allocate resources strategically
- Present findings to city council members and senior government officials
- Ensure compliance with state and federal public safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government public safety or law enforcement analytics
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Valid California driver's license and ability to pass background clearance
- Experience with GIS mapping and spatial analysis for public safety applications
- Strong understanding of CA Penal Code and emergency response protocols
- Certification in Emergency Management (EMPC or similar) required
