Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray technology and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats or suspicious items
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional demeanor during screenings
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Adhere to all TSA policies and federal security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with screening equipment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
