Responsibilities
- Analyze crime patterns and emergency response data using GIS mapping and statistical modeling
- Develop comprehensive safety reports for city council and public safety committees
- Coordinate cross-departmental emergency response protocols during critical incidents
- Manage grant applications for federal safety funding programs
- Train junior staff on public safety analytics software and compliance standards
- Lead community outreach programs to enhance public safety awareness
- Monitor compliance with state and federal public safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public safety or emergency management
- Advanced certification in GIS mapping and data visualization tools
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis software
- Ability to obtain FEMA Incident Command System certifications within 6 months
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
- Successful completion of background investigation and polygraph examination
