Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects including stormwater management systems and roadways
- Manage project lifecycles from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
- Develop engineering specifications and conduct technical reviews for contractor bids
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for permit compliance and environmental impact assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical documentation
- Analyze infrastructure data to recommend cost-effective maintenance strategies
- Present project updates to county commissioners and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of municipal infrastructure project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (Auto Civil 3D) and GIS systems
- Demonstrated experience with VDOT and EPA regulatory frameworks
- Strong budget management skills for projects exceeding $5M
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation abilities
- Valid Virginia driver's license
