Responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects to ensure adherence to approved plans and specifications
- Conduct daily site inspections and document compliance/non-compliance issues
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve technical issues
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation
- Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations on job sites
- Review permit applications and provide technical guidance to stakeholders
- Test construction materials and verify quality standards are met
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction inspection experience with municipal infrastructure
- Valid Oklahoma State Inspector Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong knowledge of ICC/OSHA regulations and local building codes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS mapping, and inspection software
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
