Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, asphalt paving, and concrete work
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
- Manage materials inventory and equipment maintenance logs
- Assist during emergency response operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid California Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Clean drug test and background check
- Experience with GPS surveying equipment preferred
