Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction tasks including excavation, grading, and concrete pouring
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators, dump trucks) with OSHA compliance
- Install and maintain public utilities systems (water lines, storm drains)
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on technical blueprints and project specifications
- Document daily progress and material usage for project reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with GPS survey equipment and construction software
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and overtime
