Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and asphalt pavers
- Install and maintain water/sewer systems, drainage channels, and public utilities
- Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, and form installation
- Execute road maintenance, pothole repairs, and pavement markings
- Conduct site preparation, grading, and erosion control measures
- Ensure strict OSHA compliance and safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of heavy civil construction experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (CAT/John Deere preferred)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with GPS survey equipment and blueprints
- Strong physical stamina and ability to operate in confined spaces
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
