Responsibilities
- Execute complex infrastructure maintenance projects including road repairs, drainage systems, and utility installations
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, asphalt pavers) with precision and safety compliance
- Lead crew coordination for large-scale public works initiatives
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and municipal safety protocols
- Document project progress and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams for technical implementation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in public works or heavy civil construction
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (Class A)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (CAT/John Deere preferred)
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with municipal permitting processes
- Basic understanding of civil engineering blueprints
