Responsibilities
- Lead heavy equipment operations including excavators, bulldozers, and asphalt pavers
- Oversee complex utility installations and maintenance projects
- Manage concrete pouring, finishing, and quality control for public structures
- Coordinate with engineering teams for precise project execution
- Ensure strict OSHA compliance and workplace safety protocols
- Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports
- Mentor junior laborers and coordinate team schedules
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certified in heavy equipment operation (NCCER preferred)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Experience with GPS survey equipment and blueprints
- Must pass background check and drug screening
