Responsibilities
- Oversee multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and municipal staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including TCEQ standards
- Develop and implement long-term capital improvement plans
- Coordinate with city council members and community stakeholders
- Manage project budgets exceeding $10M with strict fiscal accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of public works or municipal infrastructure experience
- Valid Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects
- Strong knowledge of municipal procurement processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain City of San Antonio security clearance
