Responsibilities
- Manage capital improvement projects from conception to completion within budget and timeline
- Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and community stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to ADA, OSHA, and municipal building codes
- Oversee contractor relationships and procurement processes
- Prepare and present project updates to city council and public committees
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public works or municipal project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Proven expertise with infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, public facilities)
- Strong knowledge of Arizona state procurement regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication and public presentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in government environment
