Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions compliant with federal standards (FedRAMP, DIACAP).
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, project managers, and domain experts to deliver mission-critical projects.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprints, stand-ups) and contribute to technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks to ensure system reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years specifically in federal government contracting or highly regulated environments.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
