Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level software applications for state services.
- Ensure all code meets strict government security standards and accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, UX designers, and subject matter experts.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain and optimize existing legacy systems to improve performance and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a corporate or government environment.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (or equivalent background check).
