Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain local and wide-area networks, servers, and related hardware/software infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to ensure minimal downtime for government operations.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure data integrity and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including software upgrades and system migrations.
- User Support: Provide technical guidance and support to government staff, resolving queries and optimizing workflow efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with non-technical staff and stakeholders.
- Availability: Willingness to work occasional overtime or on-call duties during critical system events.
