Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage and secure Active Directory services, user accounts, and group policies for multi-site organizations.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT infrastructure solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
- Perform system troubleshooting, patch management, and performance tuning for servers, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Generate and analyze system logs and reports to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and mentorship to junior administrators and helpdesk staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration within a corporate or government contracting environment.
- Must hold valid Security+ or higher certification (CISSP, CISA, or CEH preferred).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and virtualization technologies is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
